AirAsia offers 'Fly-Thru' service to 6 Asian cities

MANILA, Philippines - Philippines' AirAsia added several more Southeast Asian cities to its new Fly-Thru service from Clark International Airport in Pampanga.
The new service allows travelers to fly from Clark to Bali, Jakarta and Surabaya in Indonesia; Bangkok and Phuket in Thailand and Singapore with connecting flights through the low cost carrier terminal in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
AirAsia is offering all-in promo fares for as low as P3,149 for Singapore, P3,859 for Phuket, P4229 for Bangkok and Surabaya, P4,439 for Jakarta and P4,729 for Bali. The promo is from July 30 to August 5, and for travel from November 1- January 31, 2013.
AirAsia introduced the Fly-Thru service last year with connecting flight options from selected destinations in the AirAsia route network in 20 countries and 80 destinations.
The service allows guests to connect on multiple flight legs, on certain flights without needing to pass through immigration, collect bags, re check-in between flights or have a transit visa. Bags will also be automatically checked through to the final destination. The connecting flight time is expected to take less than 5 hours.
"We are continuously ramping up our efforts to give the best to our guests. We offer guests the convenience of connecting seamlessly at low fares and at the same time ensuring that they enjoy only the best quality service from us," AirAsia Inc. CEO Maan Hontiveros said, in a statement.
Earlier, AirAsia launched Fly-Thru service to Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney in Australia and Osaka in Japan. Promo fare for Clark to Australia is now available for as low as P8,449, for travel from September 18 to December 16, 2012.
