MANILA, Philippines --
Veteran actress Nora Aunor has a word of advice for model-host Georgina Wilson
after she allegedly posted "disrespectful" mock-up image of the
veteran actress wearing a two-piece.
"Ituloy lang niya
kung ano 'yung mga pintas na gusto niyang iparating sa akin, at tatanggapin ko
nang buong puso," Aunor told reporters on Tuesday night, when asked for
her message to the Filipina-British model.
"Ba't naman ako
ma-iinsulto, hindi naman totoo. Ibig sabihin alam naman nila na inilagay lang
'yung ulo ko doon at hindi naman talaga ako 'yun," she added.
Wilson reportedly
posted the controversial image on micro-blogging site Twitter last week. The
image, which has since been allegedly deleted, shows Aunor's face superimposed
on Wilson's. The original photo, which appears to be taken from the
model-host's July appearance in men's magazine Esquire, shows Wilson wearing a
two-piece athletic wear.
According to a number
of reports, Wilson was prompted to delete the image after she drew flak from
Noranians -- long-time supporters of Aunor -- moments after the image was
posted online.
The TV host has yet to
speak on the alleged editing and posting of the image, which has been branded
as "disrespectful" by netizens.
"Ayaw niyo no'n,
sexy na ako? Matagal ko nang pangarap 'yung maging sexy," Aunor said in
jest, addressing the controversy.
With a career spanning
decades, the "Superstar" said being "insulted" comes with
being a celebrity.
"Hayaan na natin
'yun. Hindi natin maiiwasan 'yung mga ganung pag-iinsulto sa mga artistang
katulad ko, sa iba pang mga artista," she said.
"Kung saan sila
maligaya, pagbigyan na natin sila, kung anong kaligayahan nila," added
Aunor, referring to Wilson.
The veteran actress,
who had recently come home from the 69th Venice Film Festival for her film
"Thy Womb," admitted, however, that she is not familiar with the
Filipina-British model.
"Kilala ko ba?
Ay, hindi ko po yata na-meet," she said.
