Annabelle Rama is 'very serious' in Congress bid

…says she 'can't be stopped' from running

MANILA, Philippines – Controversial talent manager Annabelle Rama is set on bringing her brand of feistiness to Congress next year.

"I am very, very, very serious to run for Congress. Wala na makakapigil sa akin," Rama said in a post on micro-blogging site Twitter on Saturday.

Having recently figured in a number of legal feuds with several showbiz personalities, Rama has become a frequent subject of entertainment headlines.
But the feisty talent manager may soon cross over to the world of politics, as she starts campaigning for a congressional seat representing the North District of Cebu, ahead of the upcoming 2013 elections.
'Idol' Annabelle
In her official Twitter account, Rama detailed her visit to Barangay Lahug in Cebu, where residents referred to her as "idol."
Natapos kami ng 10:30 a.m.," she narrated.
The residents of the barangay had also aired their woes on their condition to her, Rama said. She also expressed her intention to visit other areas of Cebu to lend ears to her potential constituents.
"Magandang experience, I am beginning to like it. That's why I went to Ayala mall to buy rubber shoes para sa mga susunod kong pag-ikot," she said.
'Cebu loves me'
Addressing the possible effect of her ongoing legal tiffs with different personalities on her congressional bid, Rama had earlier expressed confidence that the North District of Cebu will "love" her nonetheless.
"Hindi ['to makakaapekto]," Rama confidently said in June, when asked if she thinks her feud with former actresses Nadia Montenegro and Amalia Fuentes will affect her political plans.
Hindi makakasira sakin 'to," Rama said at the time.
